Born from a simple observation.
The teams we admired all shared the same traits: they were obsessed with quality, they invested in tooling, and they treated software development as a craft. The teams that struggled all shared a different trait: they confused activity with progress.
AI is the most powerful leverage tool to come along in a generation. Used well, it lets craftsmen do their best work at a scale that wasn't possible before. Used poorly, it accelerates technical debt. We exist to make sure our clients are in the first group.
Engineering is a craft.
We hold ourselves to a written standard: code is read more than it's written, exceptions shouldn't pass silently, and if you can't explain it, you should rebuild it.
