Download Loup

Loup comes in two editions: Loup Lite, a free public build for education and training, and the full release for customers.

Loup Lite

For education and training: learning the language, courses and workshops, and working through the Loup books.

Includes the Loup toolchain (loup, loup-bootstrap, loup-launcher) and the standard library, for macOS, Windows and Linux.

Contains no encryption or decryption functionality. It leaves out the Loup cryptography library — ciphers, key exchange, digital signatures and TLS — and the rest of the Loup modules and packages.

Full release

For commercial and production work.

Includes everything in Loup Lite, plus the cryptography library (encryption and decryption, key exchange, digital signatures, TLS) and the full set of Loup modules and packages.

Available to Code Craft AI customers. Commercial use needs a seat for each developer; see the Loup Commercial License.

Install Loup Lite

The installer downloads the build for your machine, checks it against the release's SHA‑256 checksums, and installs it for your user account — no administrator rights needed.

Linux and macOS
