One seat for each developer, and each autonomous agent, using Loup for commercial work.
What a seat covers
Commercial use — work for an employer, client or customer, or on software
a business sells, hosts or uses — needs a seat for everyone, and every autonomous agent,
doing it.
Each developer
A named person who writes, reviews or builds Loup code, or runs the
toolchain, for commercial use.
Their AI assistants
A developer's seat covers the coding assistants and agents that
developer starts, directs and is responsible for. They need no seat of their own.
Autonomous agents
An agent that takes work from a queue, serves several developers, or
writes changes on its own in CI needs its own seat.
Not build servers
CI pipelines that only compile, test or package code written by
licensed developers or agents need no seat.
Free, no seat needed
Personal projects on your own time and equipment, coursework and
teaching, open-source projects released under an OSI-approved license, and work for a
registered nonprofit. Personal use never covers work for an employer, even after hours.
Install Loup Lite
Loup Lite is the free public build of Loup for education and training,
for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows x86-64, and Linux x86-64 and arm64 (glibc). It
contains no encryption or decryption functionality and leaves out some Loup modules and
packages; customers get the full release — see Download Loup. The
installer downloads the build for your machine, checks it against the release's
SHA‑256 checksums, and installs it for your user account — no administrator rights
needed.
